365:157 - SNAKE!

365:157

We were going out to the yard to get some sunshine in the mid morning and Samuel yells, "Mama! A snake!!" I'm hesitant to believe him because he has called the hose a snake before, but I walked out onto our steps and found a yellow and black snake RIGHT by our door! Thankfully, Joshua was walking up the path JUST as I gasped a frantic gasp! He immediately went into action and told me to get a stick and pillowcase! Eventually, he corralled the snake into a large box and we relocated it to a different area. We researched and found that it was a California King snake which eats rodents and rattle snakes, so we figured we better keep her around (we also think it was a female because it expelled some wicked smelling liquid when we went to catch it, which is unique to the female ones!)

In the moment, I did not have my fancy shmancy camera so here are the photos I captured on my phone.

365:155 - couch

365:155

This is the most random photo ever. I was looking at my little quilt-covered futon couch/bed and was just really thankful…even for the missing button on one of the pillows. God has given us all we need and more. Even on days that I don't fully trust that, He is faithful.

365:154 - protector brother

When I give Gabriel "tummy time," the boys can't help but get up in his face. They just love him. The last photo is of Samuel trying to protect Gabriel from Benjamin with the stuffed killer whale! Raising 3 boys ages 3 and under is very hard at times. It is moments like these that encourage me to press on. I really do love these crazy, tenderhearted, hyper, sweet little boys.

365:153 - dodgers!

365:153

Again, I have fallen behind on posting my Photo of the Day, however, I have been pretty consistent to at least take a photo each day :)

(iPhone photos)

For this day, I had taken a photo of a little outdoor picnic that I had with the boys, but these photos from the Dodger game that Joshua took Samuel to are by far much better than the little picnic :) Samuel has been to 5 or 6 Dodger games in his little life, but in recent days he's really started to enjoy them (especially all the sugary, yummy snacks that Abba gives him when Mama's not around ;))

365:152 - bottle!

365:152

Tonight, we ran a couple errands and ended up at Sam's Flaming Grill for dinner, which was my first time trying this very yummy mediterranean restaurant! It was also the very first time I gave Gabriel a bottle of pumped milk. It was so nice to enjoy spending time with my boys instead of having to sit in the car for 30+ minutes. It won't be a regular occurrence, but it's nice to know that he will take a bottle for me :)

Sorry, y'all but this is an instagram shot. Perhaps I'll bust out the Canon 6D more often now that I'm feeling a little bit more normal :)

About me

My photo
I am a redeemed woman who seeks to reflect that redemption by living out my calling as a wife and momma! My primary purpose in life is to glorify God through obedience by helping my husband and loving others. Of course, I don't do this perfectly, so I daily rely on the work of Jesus to count me righteous and rest in His saving grace!
