365:305 - breakfast babysitters

365:305

This morning, we had the opportunity to go out on a BREAKFAST date (my very favorite kind of date) because Pastor Steve and Judy offered to come babysit all three boys while we went out! It was a nice time to get away, chat a bit, and eat a warm meal ;) This couple is so special to us and we love them!!

This year, we went to Grace Baptist for their Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival! Super fun! Before the festivities, we had some fun taking pictures with the boys! Isn't Gabriel just darling?? And that Lion and Spider-Man? So cute :)

365:301 - Father/Son

365:301

Today, I had a great time shooting some photos for my brother-in-law and nephew! It was so fun to see how much Dylan has grown and changed even over the last year and a half!

365:298 - bottles

365:298

Gabriel took a bottle pretty well during the first month of life just for the occasional outing, so I figured he would jump right back on after a few months of exclusively nursing. I was sorely mistaken when I filled up a bottle, happily ready to give him his meal and he fought me. Oh, he fought me hard! With the advice of a couple friends, I spent the next 3 days trying everything imaginable to get him to take the bottle. FINALLY, after a couple trips to Buy Buy Baby and different methods, Gabriel took an entire bottle for me! This picture is of the successful morning we had! It's such a relief to know that if we needed Gabriel to take a bottle (for a date-night, or day out with the girls), he would be fed and happy :)

365:297 - vintage horsey

365:297

A lady who owns one of the homes in our Canyon was having a garage sale where Joshua found this super awesome vintage horse toy! He brought it home after work and the boys just LOVED it!

365:296 - the boys

365:296

I love how each of my boys has a unique look and personality! Here, Gabriel is having some tummy time in the grass, Benjamin was wandering aimlessly but cutely, and Samuel was being silly with his grabber. Love these boys.

365:294 - silliness and socks

365:294

I went grocery shopping this evening and I came home to this: all my boys huddled on the couch together! Love.

Earlier in the day, we had gone to Target (don't judge. I understand this may be an issue.) and found MICKEY socks in the dollar spot. JACK POT! Best $1 ever. ;) This shot is of Benjamin sleeping with his feet on the pillow. Sometimes, Joshua and I will randomly say, "let's go look at our boys." I love going in and seeing them all sleeping so soundly.

365:292 - an almost sad day

365:292

This morning I decided to descale our Keurig because it seemed to be running a little slower and didn't seem to be brewing an entire cup of coffee. Well, I went through the process and in the middle of emptying the vinegar-filled water reservoir, the machine completely stopped. I half-panicked as my mornings of a freshly brewed, beautiful cup of coffee flashed before my eyes! I let it sit for a while and visited keurig.com for some help. After some time, I was able to clean out the resevoir and the machine started slowly working again. I'm not sure what happened but I may never attempt that again!

365:291 - oily mama

365:291

In recent days, I have become more interested in Essential Oils. Many friends of mine swear by them and enjoy using them to save money for their families in the area of health promotion. I am ALL about health promotion and disease prevention (hence my college degree) so when I heard about the immune boosting and disease fighting elements of Young Living Essential Oils, I became more and more intrigued. My best friend from highschool also really enjoys them so I thought she'd be the perfect person to ask. She's down to earth, thinks logically, and definitely doesn't get sucked into things that aren't profitable for her family. So with that, I felt like I could trust her to tell me what she knew and guide me in the right direction. Well, after a few conversations with her and my pastor's wife from Louisville, we decided to take the plunge and see what all the hype was about. So far, I am LOVING the oils. The Lavender has been such a blessing when it comes to cuts and bruises, the Peppermint gives me a fun and tasty boost in my morning coffee, and the Thieves, if nothing else, has helped our home smell clean and fresh! I look forward to all the different ways that we will use these oils in our home.

365:289 - special friends

365:289

Joshua has multiple graduate fairs in the San Diego area so we had the privilege of spending a night with Sue and Doug Roberts. They were such great hosts, welcoming us for dinner and fellowship! While we were there, we saw a couple hot-air balloons in the sky! So cool!!

About me

My photo
I am a redeemed woman who seeks to reflect that redemption by living out my calling as a wife and momma! My primary purpose in life is to glorify God through obedience by helping my husband and loving others. Of course, I don't do this perfectly, so I daily rely on the work of Jesus to count me righteous and rest in His saving grace!
