Caught the perfect shot of my husband enjoying a bowl of cereal and the beautiful weather :) Here's also a picture of Joshua sharing his tea with Benjamin!
Today, the boys spent more time in the garden and I captured this super cute shot of Benjamin! I also found a flower that had bloomed beautifully in the bush right outside our front window. I'm loving SoCal spring!
Had to capture the typical Benjamin face these days (yes, mom and dad, I know where he got this…)
Day 86 of our Photo Challenge, Samuel and Benjamin were able to try one of the strawberries that we have been growing in our garden. They loved them! We've been combating some kind of creature who also likes strawberries but now I have to worry about these vermin ;)
We also had a short visit from Rebekah and her kiddos! I got a couple photos of Alyssa on the hammock. This is one of them!
For less than $2, I think I have found the solution to shopping with the boys at Target: POPCORN! I bought one bag and split it between the two of them. They were quiet, occupied, and fed while I was able to get my shopping done! It was awesome! This picture is of Benjamin finishing off his bag after we got home :)
Oh and the cape photo….that's Samuel's super hero cape that he got for his birthday :)
Samuel had such a wonderful birthday and hopefully in the next day or so I'll do an annual update on him :) The day consisted of presents before abba left for work, a little Jake & The Neverland Pirates party hosted by the Lotz kiddos, a lunch at Chick-Fil-A, a visit to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time, and ended with a soft-serve cone from Baskin Robbins. As we sat in the parking lot of Baskin Robbins, we sang happy birthday to our sweet boy. It was such a precious moment for us :) Love this kid so much!!!
Probably one of our very favorite pictures of Samuel ever…even though it was taken on a cell-phone! His sweet smile captures his personality so well!
Today, my sister-in-law, Sarah, treated my other sister-in-law, Rebekah, and I to some pampering and shopping fun! It was the "first time in forever" (Frozen soundtrack chiming in here…) that we had spent time together just doing something fun without all the kiddos running around! It was very refreshing!
Then, Rick (Sarah's husband) came by with their boys, Caden and Riley, and I shot a couple family photos for them… Here's one of them :)
Benjamin turned 18 months old yesterday! He's growing to be such a handsome little man and we are so blessed by his sweet character and feisty spunk! Can't imagine life without this little kid!
We wanted to do something fun for the weekend of Samuel's birthday, so we took him to see the Blue Angels at the Los Angeles Air Show! It was terribly hot, but I think the boys had a good time :)
Today is the first day of Spring so I thought I'd capture some greenery around us! I didn't even need to tell Benjamin to smell the flower that had bloomed on the bush outside of our house.
Here, Samuel is sharing his popcorn with his brother! They love each other!
Please don't mind the lack of quality photos the past few days. For various reasons, I haven't had my camera/lens/memory card, so I have needed to take my photos from my iPhone. I should have my stuff back soon :)
The boys decided a nap wasn't going to be a part of their afternoon so we headed to Amber Dennis' house to play with Meatball, watch cartoons, and hang with Amber while she baked! The boys took a little bit to warm up to Meatball (who Samuel has renamed "Crocodile.")
We actually got the amazing privilege to stay for the Dennis' Agape Feast which was such a delight! The boys were a little crazy due to their lack of nap, but it was still a sweet time of fellowship (and amazing, yummy food!)
Yesterday, Samuel noticed that Monkey's tail was coming off (!!!) so Joshua stitched him up right away. Well, today, Samuel also noticed that Monkey's mouth (thread) was coming out (!!!) so we waited for Joshua to come home and Samuel patiently waited while Abba stitched a brand new black mouth onto Monkey. Such a good dad!
Earlier in the day, Samuel was throwing the beach ball up and hitting it with his stick like it was a baseball :)
I am a redeemed woman who seeks to reflect that redemption by living out my calling as a wife and momma! My primary purpose in life is to glorify God through obedience by helping my husband and loving others. Of course, I don't do this perfectly, so I daily rely on the work of Jesus to count me righteous and rest in His saving grace!
