I've been trying to add more crafts and fun things to the boys' days because I felt like we were falling into the habit of watching a LOT of Frozen and not really getting the creative juices flowing. So today, I busted out the paints, didn't care about the messes, and let them go at it! I'm pretty sure Samuel loved it…Benjamin got bored fast so we'll have to keep working on it for him. By the end, Benjamin's paint plate looked like a big brown mess! So mom (former elementary art teacher) gave me the suggestion of only giving him two primary colors at a time (i.e. red and yellow) so that when he does mix them, it will turn a pretty orange instead of an ugly greenish-brown. And for Samuel, that will be a good science-ish activity :) Thanks, mom ;)
